Here's my deal. I've got this kt133 800mhz socket A athlon that I'm making my server. Ok, all's good on the tech side.
I can't get the damn clip attached because it only uses the center 'notch' on the side of the heatsink. This notch was torn mostly off by my Chrome Orb POS, keeping me from being able to attach a damned HSF onto my chip. Which brings me to two questions.
1) Are there socket A clips I can buy that will use all 3 of the notches (on each side) for the clip to attach to?
2) Why the hell can't they make this kind of connector the default one. 6 notch clips are 6x better!....*cough*
