the fan isn't that loud. its loud and annoying at full blast (7000rpm) but theres no need to run it that high.

i have two dfi nf4's and the chipset fans run 2800 and 3800rpm. if you have decent case airflow, you shouldn't need more than 4000rpm. both boards i removed the chipset fan and applied as5 instead of the stock TIM. very easy to do.

you can also run the vga in the second slot. just move the sli jumpers and you can run out of the second slot at 8x which is a miniscule and not noticeable performance hit. i think my 3dmarks dropped ~100points.

if you are adamant on changing the fan, then the vantec icebergs i believe are your best bet.

but i'd give the stock cooler a shot before spending money you may not need to.
