Replacement board, what about labor?

Even though Asus, via Intel, is replacing my 1155 board, I still feel screwed by having to tear down and rebuild my machine because of their mistake.

Has anyone issued this gripe to mobo manuf or Intel?

don't like it, next time buy Dell... I spec'd out a Sandy Bridge build from Dell, need at least $900...

Just look at it this way....You get to do another build so soon without any or very little money out of your pocket!

I'd think on the other hand if you purchased a pre-built system the labor would be free to replace the MB.

Why? MOST retailers are covering shipping. Have you tried RMA'ing the board directly with the manufacturer?

Here is the manufacture said when I tried to get a shipping label,

"
Dear Customer,

As you said you got the rma number be issue for return to us already, you going to use or not it really up to you, we did what we can & you do what you need to do. that's about it.

Best Regards
Manufacturer RMA Dept."

What a great manufacturer!

Which company is this ?

As for the OP.... lol(?), but it isn't April fools day yet.

Personally I hope you actually do complain to Intel about it and I hope they tell you to get bent.

Let's be honest with ourselves my friend. Your time has zero value. The fact that you are trolling around the Anandtech boards and wasting time posting such things proves this.

Therefore yes, Intel should compensate you for the fair value of your time, so 30 minutes multiplied by zero dollars per hour equals zero dollars. There, you've been compensated.

Now go back to surfing Anandtech, or Youtube, or porn, or whatever else you're busy "working" on. You're a busy, busy guy!

I will go ahead and put it back together for you.. but you have to let me bench it for the first hour...

That's part of the cost of building your own system. When something breaks you have to deal with it. It took me a total of 3 hours to swap my mobo out.

Why am I not crying about it on the internet? Because I know I would have wasted that time here or on some other site.

God

What happened to people just accepting someone made a mistake and just accepting the apology and the replacement part? Does everything have to be about trying to get every single cent?
