Replacement 8600 m gt more reliable?

I had the motherboard and video replaced on my MBP due to the 8600 m gt. So are the replacement ones more reliable or just as prone to failure as the others?

I'm not sure if they're more reliable. I had mine replaced in my old laptop and the second one failed 6 months later.
 
No, not really. Had to replace the one in my wife's notebook and it's holding up so far after six months but everyone I have seen on the notebookreview forums who has had theirs replaced. It seems it's just a matter of time before they go.
