I recently imported the wrong registry backup to my computer that was from a P4 machine that I used to have. I currently have an AMD machine. So since I didnt have any recent backups on hand that would work with this machine, I had to reformate and reinstall windows.
But now, my (D:\) drive isn?t recognized by windows! I know the data is there but the reg key must have disabled the partition. Windows disk manager doesn?t even see any partitions!
So is there an app that will fix the drive by creating a partition or just writing data to the drive to make the partition active w/o nuking it? The drive is a 400GB drive and I have nothing large enough to dump the data to. So what should I do?
I have heard of OnTrack EasyRecovery. Would that fix my problem?
Thanks!
