Replaced plextor 16/10/40a...with 24/10/40a..and programs do not reconize burner

Hello,

I just recieved my new Plextor 24/10/40a and Nero will not reconize my burner, nor will Roxio EZ CD Creator.
I've tried Nero versions: 5.0.....5518......5524....5530...and to no avail....

Has anyone had the same problem??

The funny thing about it is I replaced my 16/10/40a....with the 24/10/40a...in the same computer ????

Is Windows recognizing the burner correctly? Is it showing up in your BIOS? Check the jumpers as well, to make sure it's set correctly. Can you read CDs in the drive?

You may need updated ASPI drivers, too.

my computer bios and operating system reconize it fine.... what are aspi drivers ???... I did not need that with the 16x....

suggest you try using nero version 5.5.5.6!

5.5.5.1 should work fine with Plextor 241040.

By the way Nero 5.5.5.6 is an unauthorized leaked version.

Just update your burning software to the latest version.

Did you install the software that comes with your Plextor???
I have seen this problem when the Plextor Manager is installed.

Perhaps your copy of Nero is an OEM install? These are locked to the specific make and model they were installed on.
