I had a setup on wife's computer: ECS MB, Athlon XP 3200+, Windows XP Pro.
I decided to try to upgrade her computer.
I got a new MB (ECS) Intel e6600, 2GB DDR2, Diamond x1300 (she's not a gamer). I did not want to re-load windows unless I had to.
Windows booted with the new system, and I installed software for the MB, the video card, etc. System runs fine, all old programs, peripherals, etc. work.
However, XP only shows one processor in several areas: 1) Task Manager, 2) Speedfan, 3) CPU-Z.
How do I get existing install of XP to recognize/support the dual core?
Sorry if this is a newbie question, I tried searching.....
