Replace with tablet or netbook?

My Asus 900ha didn't wake up this morning. I held down the power button to turn it off and then hit it again to turn it back on, but still just got a blank screen. I plan to look at it tonight, and try to trouble shoot it. If it is dead, would a new tablet seem slower than it, or should I move to a new Atom or E-350 netbook.

I'd vote for an E-350. Tablets IMO still haven't matured, and the E-350 is better than an Atom.

Well it must have known I was going to replace it, because when I got home and hit the power button it turned on.

^^^ That too. E-450, now with 3% better.
I agree: the model number bump is rather silly, in comparison to the speed bump!

However, I'd say from personal experience that the support for 1333 MHz will make a noticeable difference, especially since both system and graphics memory are shared over the same single channel.

I measured a video memory bandwidth of ~ 3 GB/s at 1066 MHz and ~2.4 GB/s at 800 MHz; the latter of which gave rise to noticeable stuttering in GPU usage - which in today's world includes web browsing.
