The fan in my PSU is quite noisy. Can I open the unit and replace the fan? I find several screws on the outside of the unit, and unscrewed them, but I need to bend one piece of metal to 90 degree to let the fan out, and I am not sure even if I bend it, the fan can be unmounted easily. Also, I worry that the bending could make the metal's life much shorter -- I mean, it could eventually break if I bend several times.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

There should be no reason to bend anything, once you unscrew the screws on the outside of the case then the power supply should slide right out. Get an 80mm Panaflo L1A from bgmicro.com, they're cheap and very quiet. Be careful not to touch the capacitors in the PSU, or else let them discharge 15 minutes before opening the PSU.
