Replace Foscam FI9931W

Need to replace subject camera with a PoE model. The key is I want one that has a speaker that Blue Iris can play a .wav file on. Like the subject camera.

Currently playing with an Amcrest IP2M-841EB. Just can't get any sound out of it. Either alone or with a tiny speaker plugged into the Line Out jack.

Suggestions?

I could go up to $200.

Using the link you supplied I saw reference to the Amcrest phone app. I tried it and got sound out of the camera so I know the camera speaker works. I have to concentrate on the Blue Iris software.

Well, I am close.

Updated camera firmware and the BI version.

I have the BI demo version installed on a PC with a mic. I can hear myself in the camera AND when I test the alert .wav I hear it in the camera.

The PC with the licensed copy of BI, but no mic, is still silent. The lack of mic does not bother BI and the Foscam.

Problem solved. BI support suggested exporting setup from working demo and importing it on problem system. New camera now gives me sound. Re-added other cameras and all work, including the sound on the Foscam being replaced by the Amcrest.
