Hello people,

I have a PC with a Gigabyte P35-DS4 and an Intel Xeon X5460 CPU @3.33GHz on it cooled with a Coolermaster Ri5-8idse-x2-gp Skt775 Cooler which is this one and it comes also with his backplate:

But unfortunely the cooler isn't very good and my Xeon is reaching 70ºC under full load at stock speed even with new AS5 thermal paste applied and also it's very noisy so I need a replacement for this cooler because this one obviously sucks. The point is that I don't want to disassemble all the PC including removing the motherboard just for this and since this cooler already have its backplate which I installed on the back of the motherboard, I'm kindly asking you if there is any good CPU cooler that can be installed on my PC using the backplate of this Coolermaster and that way avoiding to have to remove the motherboard from the PC Case? What's your advise?
Thank you in advance.

With the best regards,

Rfsapiens.

maybe, possibly the hyper 212 evo as its also by cooler master, and as that backplate looks like a standard backplate...
however the moment you unscrew those screws, chances are the backplate will fall below and it will be a pain to allign properly without motherboard removal.

Thank you for your kind reply :)
So with a Coolermaster 212 Evo I'll be able to keep the motherboard in place? :)
Also will it fit on my P35-DS4 without interfering with anything else on the motherboard, for example the memory slots? I can't find no picture of anyone with it installed on a Gigabyte P35-DS4 only on P35-DS3R.

With the best regards,
