Replace 2nd HD on Solaris 2.6

I have Sun box with two HDs. The second one (no boot) is dying out. I try to replace it with a new HD, how to keep file system unchanges ?
I am very naive on UNIX.
Thanks
Jim.

I'm not entirely sure about this, but I believe you can add the third drive (what will become the #2 drive) to the SCSI chain, copy the directory structure from the failing drive, then remove the failing drive.

Otherwise, just plan on re-loading the OS when the new drive goes in.

Good Luck

Backup bad drive.
Replace bad drive.
Restore from backup.

You may need to boot into single user mode, depending on which mount points are on the second drive.
