The Mayan calendar predicted the end of the world today at 2pm. What are you doing with your last few minutes?

Seems the Mayan calendar wasn't calibrated correctly.

Doesn't it just reset their calendar to another ... whatever it's called? ie, it goes from 12:9:9:9 to 13:0:0:0?

I thought it just went on forever?

Tell you how raising the drinking age is a fucking stupid idea.

I can pull plenty of studies and evidence showing that trying to hide things from kids (in this case, telling them they can't drink until X) just makes them want it more at any age < X starting with teenage rebel years.

I know that stuff. I have no problem with casual drinking like in Europe. It's just binge drinking we need to look out for, and I know the higher drinking age tends to lead to more binge drinking.

Ok then, so we agree lowering the drinking age may actually help? Gets them to learn at a younger age how to drink, and it loses the "cool" factor earlier.

By all means, drinking/driving and drinking/making-an-ass-of-yourself-in-public should be illegal regardless of age.

I thought we settled that back in 2012? Are people just "reinterpreting" the mayan calendar now to try and keep this stupid shit alive or something?

Edit: Oh...nevermind.

I mean by kids. As adults binge drinking is aces in my book. Livers are overrated organs anyway.
Kids do it better. Adults can't handle the abuse. If I drank in college like I did in HS I would have been a hurtin' gerkin. If I drank now like I did in HS, I'd be dead.

Yeah I don't know the best option, maybe something like legal to possess but not legal to buy? I dunno.
