Repeated requests to install unknown device (mouse) Windows XP

I have bought a USB mouse. Previously I have had another USB mouse. Once I plugged the new USB mouse in it worked. However windows tells me: detected new hardware Unknown and trying to find a driver for it. It repeats every time the Windows starts. I don't need to install any new driver.

If I close the window of driver detection, it immediately relaunches. If I try to install the driver, windows tells me it failed to located the driver.

How can I get rid of the Windows trying to install a driver for my new mouse?

While the words USB mouse is Equal USB mouse.

The similarity might disappear in the real technical world.

Thus, it might easier to help if you provide some info about the Old Mouse and the New Mouse and waht you are plunging them to.

It might be that the New Mouse Drivers are Not compatible with 15 year old Win XP.
