Cue the beards of necks explaining that this is fine with him because there's no expectation of privacy in 3...2...

No way! The police are arresting people who post pictures of themselves on facebook comitting crimes. What is the world coming to. Next they will be arresting people who kill each other

P.S. British people don't think they speak English, English people do.

Good to know.

Holding a knife is a crime in the UK.

Don't go to a restaurant people, you can't cut your food!

Carrying a knife over a few inches in public is a crime in the UK.

A restaurant is a privately owned place.

Once you have gun control you need knife control... then fork control... and last but not least (it hurts more) spoon control.

Spending time on this sh*t, meanwhile I bet they've done a piss poor job (like the US) of charging any bankers and their ilk with huge amounts of fraud they committed as part of the current fiscal crisis.

I wonder if these guys have a way to tell if a person in the restaurant is not in a US restaurant. Or perhaps he's on vacation to a relative's house in South Africa or something, who knows.

And even if they broke the law it's a bit like spraying 50 cal at a person for going 75 in a 70 zone. Not quite a reasonable response.

I wonder if these cops feel like assholes, I bet some of them do.

I wouldn't I'd feel like I was 100% right in what I was doing, if you commit a crime and then post photos of you committing it on facebook, you deserve to be arrested.

Well, it is the UK after all. It's the same place were squatters have more rights than land owners.

And LOL at the guy with the hatchet :)

WTF are the police wearing? I get the stab proof vests, but what are those harnesses? I thought they were shoulder holsters at first, since they have a reasonable expectation of facing a knife wielding "hardened criminal" but as I look closer it doesn't appear that they have guns. It looks like those are holding a flashlight and some handcuffs.

I disagree. It makes perfect sense from where I'm sat.

They don't have guns, they may have batons, pepper spray, stun guns, torches and handcuffs.

How so? :hmm:

Because, carrying certain knives makes sense in certain jobs or with certain hobbies. I.e. some people need to carry a stanley knife if they are a builder / carpenter etc. Some people need to carry a small fishing knife. No one needs to carry a massive knife for their job.

In all honesty you are only allowed to carry a small knife if you have a good reason to.

The country is full of people like necktard...so it makes perfect sense that such laws exist.

I carry a 7" Kabar sometimes just because I can. I've never stabbed anyone and I never intend to.
