Reparing windows without an administrator password

I have to repair this computer where someone deleted too many files in windows and now it wont boot correctly, even wont boot in safe mode

i was going to use the Repair option from the XP disc, but it asks for an administrator password which the owner doesnt remember...

any suggestions?

Try recovering the admin password. There are several sites on how to do that. Did you try a blank password?
