Repairing headphone stereo plug

Hello,

I have a pair of Sennheiser HD-202 headphones which are relatively cheap, but nice enough ($20-30) that I would like to try and fix them. The internal connections within the stereo plug have come loose and the sound comes in and out all the time.

It's quite aggrivating always having to twirl the plug around/mess with the wire for the wires to contact, only for it to cut out when I take my hand away.

Thus does anyone know the best way to fix the plug? Take apart the jacket and re-solder the wires?

Thanks

yep. You can probably get a replacement plug at radio shack for a couple bucks. The hardest part would be soldering those tiny wires so that they don't fray and break at the soldered area.
