Repairing Curb Rash on Wheels

Hi guys,

I bought a 2003 Corvette Z06 this week that is in great shape except for the previous owner apparently had a problem with hitting the curb anytime he tried to parallel park. Both right-side rims have considerable scuffing and "curb rash" along a substantial portion of the rim's beaded edge. Anyone ever have this type of repair done? If so, how long did it take? Was the finished result acceptable? What are repair places charging for this nowadays? Any advice is appreciated... and better yet, any referrals to places near L.A. will help as that is where the car is residing until April.

Not sure on cost but from what I understand its around $100 or so for curb rash. My dad scuffed up one of my wheels the other day so I'll likely be utilizing their services very soon.

i've done it but never tried to paint match... how did the paint matching go?

I always repaired and painted the whole wheel like a darker shade of silver. My last set i did in bronze.

Thanks for that link... this place is only 5 miles from where I'm storing my car so I may pay them a visit in a couple weeks if I can't collect the supplies for the DIY approach.
