Repairing a wetvac vacuum hose

Hey so I have a wetvac whose has has recently cracked.

The replacement part is close to fifty bucks. I'm thinking of finding a way to repair it. Any suggestions?

I can't slice it off and recap it unfortunately because there is a little feed going through the center of it for liquid solvent.

Could I use a heat shrink tape?

J/K a bit, got me, shrink wrap would probably work OK.

I actually have used duct tape to repair a shop vac hose (although you really don't want the sticky side catching debris)

Duct-tape is kid-stuff ... what you want is Gorilla-tape.
