Took a computer off of my sister's boyfriend. Dell Dimension 8400, 17" LCD screen.
To cut right into the thick of it, it will display a picture for about 1 second and then go blank with the power light remaining green.
I have swapped the video card with a known working one, no change. Tried it in my main computer, no change. Swapped power and video cables, no change. I aimed a bright flashlight at the screen and it still appears blank.
What do you think? Backlight, inverter board? I don't have too much experience with monitors.
