Uhm what

Parts for the 2008 PORSCHE 911 TURBO 3.6L cost only 88% of what parts for a 2008 PORSCHE CAYMAN S 3.4L cost.

I saw some irregularities like that, and I think that it might have to do with part availabilities--rockauto has more parts for the cayman than the 911 turbo

Yea I was about to say that. It compares what RA has and how it is priced. A 911 Turbo has a lot of parts that can only come from Porsche so RA can't add those in.

I am sure the Corvetet ZR1 might come up with with results like that as well.

So rare/exotic cars this tool may not work well. But for regular Corvettes, Civics, Focus, etc... it should work better.

hmm not sure about its accuracy..

says my 2003 Infiniti G35 C costs less than a Hyundai Genesis 3.6..

Infiniti should be more expensive per real world reports..
thats why the Hyundai copy of the G35 is doing so well.
lower costs to own and almost the same features.

Yeah after playing with this I really don't trust it. I get the impression it either adds total cost in rockauto inventory (stupid) or just specific parts (Water pump, alternator, etc) and adds that up. Either way there are some pretty drastic inconsistencies..

Parts for the 2009 SUBARU TRIBECA 3.6L cost 1.29 times the cost of parts for a 2009 SUBARU IMPREZA WRX STI 2.5L.

After doing 10-15 cars I've concluded this thing is about as accurate as a guesstimate... Cool tool, hopefully they increase the complexity of whatever metric is being used
