Repair corrupted files

My girlfriends computer decided to do a few odd power cycles a couple of weekends ago. The ATA133 controler card I put in there went toast, and she has a large amount of corrupted files on one of her partitions. I'm basically looking for software that can try to repair any of these files. It's mostly office files and multimedia. I tried a few things like Spinrite and such, but it seems that's more for recovering files that have actually been deleted. Anyone had any recommendations for software or such to fix these? Thanks in advance.

Ok, best bet is to try to replace the files. Unless the files have recovery records (some rar files may), they're not likely to be fixable. You can try "recover my files", but the problem isn't that they were deleted, but saved corrupt. If there are older versions of the files that aren't corrupt, it may be possible to recover them, but you should look into that ability of any software before deciding.
