Lindsey is obviously in search of the limelight. Poor Lindsey, poor South Carolina. Reminds me of a dog running in circles chasing its own tail. Lindsey doesn't quite know exactly what it is that he believes or should believe, but Lindsey will continue running in circles until he finds it, whatever it is. WHAT were South Carolina voters thinking?

I ask the same thing. What was South Carolina thinking reelecting him? Must be his name.

Fox News has latched onto their talking point. They are calling what MTG said as just kooky but Ilhan Omar was anti-Semetic.

Let just be clear, Omar was quoted as saying "all about the Benjamin's" referring to motives complaining she criticized Israel.

MTG supported the assassination of the Speaker of the House and said "Jew lasers" started fires.

Omar apologized for her comments
Green has doubled down.

They are trying to compare the two when there is no comparison

Fox's bothsides on this is so ridiculous. Calls for violence from the left? Crickets.

Since McCarthy refused to remove Greene from her two committee assignments, dems have scheduled a floor vote to remove her today. It requires a simple majority.

What gets me is that there's some Repubs in Congress that would be willing to work with Biden and the Dems to move things ahead yet these same folks won't do a thing about their Trump-crazified caucus members.

And then there's those folks who actually voted for these left-overs from the Trump alt-reality fringe of the fringe realm.

WTF's with those folks who refuse/are not able to shake off the mind-fucking job Trump put them through when I suspect most of them know they've been taken down the yellow brick road to mayhem and discontent and should know better.
To put it succinctly, they are two faced.

I never understood the big outrage about Obama being a SeCrEt mUsLiM.

Don't these people know there's no religious test for holding office? For supposedly being such ardent defenders of religious freedom, they sure don't even know the basics.
I think what they ascribe to is freedom to be a (proclaimed!) Christian in America.

The woman is either a con artist that doesn't believe a word she says, but knows her constituents will believe what she says. OR she is just plain mentally ill.
It's more the mentally ill. People like her don't believe anything. They react. She doesn't have a sense of self worth. She will riff on incendiary memes for attention, witness all the conspiracy crap she's promulgating. She didn't invent or find or research any of that, she just amplified it for attention, reaction.

I doubt that the R's are gonna kick her off her committee appointments, K. McCarthy, shit that he is, refused to do that yesterday. The Democratic majority in the house is going to do it for him/his coconspirator Republicans. Take the fight now, the Democrats need to win the 2022 midterms.

So the House dems have given McCarthy an ultimatum, which is either strip Greene of her committee assignments, or they will bring the matter to a floor vote. They could remove her from committees that way, but the article makes the valid point that should the dems do this, it will likely be used by the repugs against dems the next time they control the House, which they probably will after 2022.

Should they do it?
Sometimes you have to do what's right and dare your enemy to retaliate by doing what's wrong. Right versus wrong or the language of power? Depends on the situation.

I like what Pelosi said when asked by reporters if she's concerned about GOP retaliation.

If anybody starts threatening the lives of members of Congress on the Democratic side, we’d be the first to eliminate them from committees. They had the opportunity to do so. I’m not answering any more questions about it.

Which is exactly what I would expect, demand actually, if a democrat behaved the same way.

How is she all that different from their last POTUS?
It'll be a woman and GOP will be able to claim they're the true party of equality and there is absolutely no misogyny within GOP and Democrats are the real racists/misogynists/homophobes/xenophobes.

it wont happen.

Deep down inside most of their voter base is terribly sexist, including the women. they arent gonna vote for a woman president the RNC knows it. they will not nominate a woman.
Jordan Klepper interviewed several of those women.
