Two words: California Democrat. Nuff said. There is just something about California Democrats. They're a special kind of idiots.

Hardly. Just see the above posts by halfwits like Jhnmhmhnnn.
Ehh, my apologies. I didn't know troll posts were considered a valid opinion. :hmm:

Since body armor's purpose is to protect your body and not inflict harm, one would think Politicians would try to get people to buy those instead of guns. Two-faced pricks they are...

I really have no problem with people buying body armor. I read a study by the FBI a few years ago that almost no crimes are committed by people wearing body armor.

Because they can't get it easily. There may already be a lot of state laws against civilians owning body armor.

Because it's expensive. If you're trying to stick up a gas station, odds are you don't have $5k to drop on some military grade armor.

Most armed robberies are committed with low grade, inexpensive guns.

Steel and ballistic composite aren't designed for the same things. SAPI plates are rated for multiple hits from 7.62 nato.

How many civilians are going to wear clunky body armor with optional plates all day every day even when they sleep just in case the police accidentally shoot them just then?

When you put on body armor; it's generally because you're expecting to get shot...

That certainly is no legitimate reason to ban it.
