And I can't fault Cheney for avoiding the Draft- I did much the same, myself.
OTOH, I never claimed that I supported the war after the war by avoiding the war in the first place...
But Cheney did, with a straight face and an air of authority, and was actually believed by many. He sold his soul at a young age, and never looked back, never regretted it one teensy bit, never told the truth unless it suited his purposes at the time. Confronted with his own lies about Iraq, he denied having ever uttered them, even though they were recorded on videotape. And he was still believed. He was, and remains, a psychopath's psycopath, utterly corrupt, a man with few equals.

I didn't realize they shut down the US Military after Vietnam.. thanks for clearing that up. Yes, clearly he could not have been DRAFTED and could not have served in VIETNAM.. but he still could have volunteered for military service. Of course, you are totally missing the point - If Cheney was a scumbag for sending people to their death while avoiding the draft.. how is it any different for Obama?
As I stated, most on the left considered the Vietnam war unjust along with the draft.. so Cheney avoiding it should make him a hero in the left's eyes. So again, if Cheney is a scumbag for avoiding an unjust war and sending others to fight.. how is Obama any different?

Yeah, Obama was 13 in 1974 when the Vietnam war ended.
Of course, things like math and such are hard for youngsters so consider this a helpful hint that you can use in the future to avoid making a fool out of yourself.
