Renting a Helicopter and Personal HoverCrafts (Airboards) for show??

So I am wondering if it can be done.. (will take place in SAN DIEGO)

The show will be held at a small stadium.. and I am curious to learn if a helicopter can be rented in order to fly inside of the stadium... and maybe just fly around and point a light at the audience.. perhaps drop someone off .. and leave...

My question is.. are these things allowed.. and is there any rental place that will do it (in San Diego).. and if so .. for how much.

The "theme" of the show is circus related.... so I thought that bringing in some clowns in personal hovercrafts would be "cool"... these things go for about $15k each... so I am also wondering if there is a rental place in San Diego.. how much would rental cost.. etc?

If you havent seen them: http://www.americanantigravity.com/airboard.shtml

And this site has a video: http://www.arbortech.com.au/airboard/frameset/seeit/see.html

Thanks... any other ideas.. would be great, thanks.

Don't know about SD however I have a friend who does scenery work who has rented a hovercraft. Obviously depending on the location/ safety a helicopter is possible.

I would imagine any place that sells hovercraft would rent them if the price was right.......

It will be on the first week of October.

Owned Video?

What I am really concerned about are prices.. and if it would even be worth it.. in my opinion something with these elements would put up a decent show...

if you are expecting much of a crowd, a helicopter is really not a good idea, and I doubt you'll get any takers on the charter. Hovercraft are another matter. That should be doable.

What is your employers number? You are clearly not qualified for your job......

If this is an independent venture may God help you.......................

Please stop making such assumptions... it is for a school (homecoming) football game.. with a low budget .. neither of these things may happen.. but I am trying to find out what can and waht cant be done and make the best out of it... I just got started today and I already have some numbers (for local helicopter rental) but cant find any quotes.... I'll be doing some phone calls tomorrow to check and see how farfetched my ideas really are. I still need aircraft/hover rentals in SD, if anyone can help with that.. .it would be great, thanks.

Well, not sure about this since it'll be planned, but for unplanned events it'll be at least $10-$15k just to get it off the ground

I am a professional pilot, and I would not touch a football game with a full stadium with a ten foot pole. Too many risks. Maybe you can get a charter to do it, maybe not. Expect to shell out $500 an hour with a couple hour minimum.

Maybe you can have a blimp with a bomb on it fly into the stadium full of people?

Cookie to anyone who gets the reference...

Do you think anyone would be up for just flying over.. and not landing.. just "getting a spotlight" on the crowd???

of course..................

You need to be on the phone........you won't get any useful info/ prices here

I was hoping to get some more info on the airboard.. I heard they were used for the Sydney Olympics... I just found out about this right now
