My cuz Beaming just went back to the factory for repair and they give him a rental for the meantime. Yesterday, he pickme up and we went for a drive. On every light we did a neutral drop on the car and the tires spins like crazy! When he warm up the car in the morning he floor the gas pedal so he could get the car warm up faster. Last night we went to dinner and in NYC there is snow everywhere. He use the car and crash into one big snow pile and flatten it so we have a parking space. Made a couple of Donuts in a parking lot! I'll felt sorry for the people that buys the cars when the rental company are finished with them and put them in auctions. The car is a brand new 2001 intrepid!!

I had me a rental Chevy Blazer in December, didn't abuse it quite as bad.. Just hopped a curb because I needed a parking place while I ran into a building to drop a lab off for school. Other than that, I tried to take decent care of it.

Naturally, it didn't take care of me. Tire just decided one day that it didn't wanna hold air. Called Enterprise they told me to change the tire and bring it back to em.. I was like WTF, I'm paying $30/day and they can't send someone out to change the tire for me.. After I changed the tire I ran over a little piece of plastic that covers the lug nuts and the told me I'd get charged for it.. WTF again. When I returned the car I forgot to mention that little bit.

Couple of times, sitting at a light, it just decided to stall for no particular reason.. Seemed almost like the alternator was crapping out er somethin. Forgot to tell them about that one too. Someone else can deal with it when the alternator dies an early death on em.

What is the reason you're so happy about this (as you have put a smiley and three exclamation points in the thread title)?

Are you saying that was a cool thing to do?

That's nothing I've.....................witness worst. (rolled over, all four tires showing steel belts, bullet holes, etc...) All in all, that's why the prices for rentals are a lot higher and reasons why they rarely/don't rent manual transmissions these days.

i have done what he done before. Esp. the netrual dropp at every light, and redlining my car when its COLD just to heat it up faster.

I've done the whole drift thing, and even went into the quarter mile in a rental. Pretty funn if you ask me.

I just had a big smile when reading this post.

Dumbest thing I've ever done in a rental car is 108MPH; speed limiter, I knew it was there, wanted to find out what the fuel cutoff limiter feels like.

That's just wrong!

You're supposed to catch air and land ON TOP of the snow pile.

Seriously, I hope he does one one last neutral drop, breaks the tranny, and has to walk. Idiot.

my friend edy took a right hand turn too quick (60 mph in suburbia) and took out the left tie rod is it? and bent the axle (front) drove home 5km with it that way too

he's dumb

he also took speed bumps at 60 mph, those ones marked for 5mph

redlined it like crazy, was really hard on it

I hope I don't get the same car when I need one!!

Am I the only one here who has worked at a car rental agency and had to deal with all this crap? The weirdest case of abuse happened to a jeep. Somehow someone was able to remove the whole ignition from the steering column. I didn't find out about it til I tried to start the engine, and the ignition came out. There was also the usual assortment of trashed vehicles, a BMW that took 4 hours to clean, condoms, and dog vomit.

Biggles, are the renters held responsible for this stuff. I'd bill at least $75 per hour for "additional cleaning," and give the clean-up kid a bonus for every time he had to deal with that crap. I'd also bill double what the dealership charged for every non-warranty repair.
