I work at Children's hospital in OKC, I bought my house in the suburbs of Oklahoma city, house payment with Ins. and all the other crap is 620 a month.

Good for you. I hate swimming.

BTW, how many years you financing it? (My $550 is a 20 year)

My loan is on a 30 year note, but if I pay $80 extra a month it takes a payment off of the back of my mortgage.

I pay $450/mo for my place. Large one bedroom with office and large living room. Hardwood floors, etc. Not to bad...but then again, its not in California :-/

We live in a small beach tourist town of St Joseph, Mi (on Lake Michigan). I live about 10 blocks from the beach and pay $650 / month for a one bedroom lower apartment with garage, basement, living, dining, huge kitchen & bathroom with tons of storage space.

1300/month for a nice 1bd/1 bath outside Boston. Includes heat, hotwater, and parking. Electric bill is only ~20/month. Brand new everything when I moved in.

A few months ago i was paying $2300 for a 350 sq ft studio. But you couldn't pay me to live in Oklahoma. I guess we all have our prorities and preferred lifestyle. Yours is just a lot cheaper than mine 😉

I'm paying $860 for a 1 bdrm apt in Broomfield, CO (near Boulder), soon to go up to almost $1100 when I have to go month to month. Sure wish my employer would find out if our contract is getting extended or not so I can either sign a new lease or get the hell out of dodge.

Oklahoma is really a great place, I grew up in a Navy family so I lived on each coast and in other countries for a little bit... I must say I like Oklahoma better then anywhere else. I like going on vacation to other places but I really like living in Oklahoma. You shouldn't knock it untill you try it.
