I'm looking for a like a studio/1 bed apartment with some sort of garaged parking in the long beach, ca area.

IMO a good price is ~$750-800, but there is almost nothing at this point unless it's in the hood. Seems like market rate is actually asking 1K+, but at the same time according to craigslist the market is flooded with rentals. It seems like the price should come down if there is a supply glut but all the asking prices are high.

Maybe some of you can also post what something like this goes for where you live and what city this would be.

I live in LA, and you are looking to pay between 900-1000 in a good area for a one bed room. That being said I have a buddy who got a one bedroom for 900 in Westwood, which is one of the most expensive parts of town. I would be suprised if LB is quite *that* expensive... must be the crazy housing market heh

:Q About $3-4K a month for a 3 bedroom unit in Seoul, KOR. A studio like you describe is about $2K in a decent neighborhood. (Of course unless you're a native, then it's way cheaper.)

A little over 800/month for a 3bd/2ba apartment right now. I know a lot of 1bd/1ba apartments go for around 600-700/month. PHX area.

~$500-600 a month gets you a crappy 1br here (kennewick, wa), $1000-1200 gets you a pretty nice 3br.

$750-$800 gets you a pretty nice 2 bedroom apartment here. $1K is getting into house territory or nice 3 bedroom apartments. This is Denver, CO btw.

Added note. Current rent is $1250 for the house I'm living in. 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom, upstairs & downstairs living rooms and a 2 car garage.

My last place in Anaheim, CA was 1095 for a 950 sq ft 2bd 2ba apt with a small yard. No garage, but a carport. I considered that a great deal.

Here in CO, after looking at $700-800 apts, the idiot wife picked a 1100sq ft 3bd 2 ba apt with no yard, but a one car garage for $1145. In Highlands Ranch.

Let me tell you a little about Highlands Ranch, CO. It's called "Little California" by native Coloradans. It is a planned community developed by the Mission Viejo company. What does that tell ya?

Highlands Ranch is a cultureless wasteland of wannabe yuppies who are uptight and as white as the driven snow. I think I've seen 5 minority families here. I get the cops called on me whenever I'm outside working on my 73 bus (has a high top so it's too tall to fit in the garage). People are disturbed and disgusted to have someone in their midst that works on his own vehicle.

nsafreak: What part of Denver are you in?

I live on the outskirts of Downtown. House is about a 2 minute drive from Speer Blvd about 30 seconds from Sheridan. Have to move again myself (blah) since one of my roommates is buying the house we're currently renting.

lol our small 2 bedroom, 1 bath house is 800$/mo.

A bit on the high side, due to location and being on 1 acre.

<-- Portland, OR

700$/mo would be more reasonable, just taking into account the house. It's tiny.

You coulda kept it LoDo.

That's actually a pretty cool area. Too far from work though. Right now I'm 6 miles away from work. The office is right next to Centennial Airport.

Two bedroom, 1 bath, new building, middle of small town, $325 a month. Only downside is that Elvis and Marilyn Monroe just moved in next door.
