I have never been a fan of Rage Against the Machine but DAMN, that song is awesome.

I hate RATM because they're a bunch of hypocrite, pseudo-Commies (how can you espouse Communism on one hand and then play the Tibetian Freedom Concert, when it's COMMUNISTS who are oppressing Tibet?!?) and Zach sounds like a yapping Chihuahua.

But...

As a three-piece bands recycling old 70s riffs, they DO rawk ("Testify" is da JAM!) and with the originals to guide Zach to the rhythm (Vanilla Ice flows better than he does), the "Renegades" stuff isn't bad. "Microphone Fiend" is cool though "Down On The Street" sux.

I'm not sure whether they are actually communists per se, although it's probably safe to say they are socialists. I think Renegades is good, they seem to have more substance and variety.

Everyone knows that &quot;Renegades of Funk&quot; is a cover right? Props to Afrika Bambaataa and the Soul Sonic Force for the original which is better IMO. Amazing video too! Rage's version is alright too I have to say. I like the guitar riff particularly.
