Renegade X UT3 C&C Renegade remake mod coming September 30th

That looks all kinds of awesome. I always liked Renegade, it was too bad it never got a real audience. I still have the game here in my collection.
 
Looks interesting, but it's only multi-player? I will give it a try after their beta testing is done, I'm not a fan of beta mods, I usually wait until they're ready for a final version.
 
Looks excellent so far. Renegade is awesome.

Also, hating on UT3 is so out of style. It's a lot like the Vista hate. Sucked when it first came out, is good now. Anyone who enjoys the kind of gameplay the original UT had or likes Quake 3 or Quake Live, they would enjoy UT3 as is right now.
 
renegade came out around the same time as tribes and tribes2.

and wasn't nearly as good.

i miss tribes. =(
 
C&C Renegade the single player was odd but ok.

Multiplayer.... I would personally say it was the best team multiplayer game I have ever played, beating out CTF Quakes, Team UT matches and TFC1/TF2.

Multiple angles of attack, the real requirement of solid teamwork and the whole buy your own character/vehicle was cool too. I played it when I was but a mid-teen and was ranked top 25 in the UK on my first two months.

Solo Super-Engineer runs into the enemy base, blowing up a building before anyone could react was simply the best thing ever, one of my specialties.
 
I guess I'm the only guy here who thought Renegade was meh. Played all the way to the end, but that was mostly out of frustration with the game. I didnt want it to kick my ass. Got so sick of the standard building-clearing routine it sorta became like an out of body experience or something.

But remaking it with a new engine may be fun.

I've never heard of C&C Renegade or at least never paid any attention to it. It doesn't look bad. Will Renegade X be a free download?

I disagree.. UT3 is underrated.. But there's no fucking way you can be serious if you say Windows Vista is good.

I loved the multiplayer, especially the super-engineer. I could sneak into almost any base and blow something up without being seen. My favorite memory was sneaking into one base as an engineer, and killing someone who just bought a stealth tank and stealing his tank. I hid in their base the whole game with that tank, so much fun.
