Rendering machine recommendations

Hi, i have a buget around 1,800. What computer parts would you recommend i have in order to build a fast rendering machine. I use Viz and sketch up to do architecture stuff. Currently i have a spare 400 watt chieftech case, 1 Gig cas2 memory, and dvd burner. So you could exclude these things. I would like to stick towards AMD if that's possible. Any help i will grreatly appreciate it thanks
