Good Day,

I believe this is way too off-topic to try to fit it anywhere else than this forum :)

I'm planning on investing on a new car for me and my family. The car is a Renault Laguna II Previlège 1.9dCi 120hp, with aprox 19000km, first bought in February 2002. So the car isn't new, and is selling for a 26500 Euro (about the same price in USD).

The car seems in very good condition, at least it looks as new. Don't have a clue why someone invested in such a car and puts it to sell 2 years latter with such lower kms made. Over the internet I found people happy, and some other people unhappy ... it happens all the time, with all sorts of products ... hence the reason to post this message.

I need your advice on the deal ... do you know of any problems those cars give? What about the cost of regular maintenance?

I'm soon to be a father, so safety and space are important, and this car seems to give me both ... also a diesel motor with 120hp will keep it going, at lower price consumptions (sp?) ... and I believe 120hp on this car will give it good response times on overtakings ... ?

Need your advice ... it's a big investment.

Thank You.

Most of the people on this board don't live in Europe.............so it's unlikely many of us would have any info or input about a European only car.

:(

Its really advertised alot in Europe. When I was there in January it was everywhere. Even in Greece and Turkey. Looks like a sweet car, but I drove a Renault Diesel in Europe. :D Doing 160 kmp was pretty cool... on a 5 speed :D

I dunno, Peuget lost some of its luster there now. They produce cars in India now and VW is really good in Europe (and for good reason, they're made in Germany. Not the Mexicano ones made here :( )

Yeah, you're right ... it's an European car ... I just hope there are enough European users in here ...

Come up, come up ... wherever you are ... help this guy out (me).
