Renaming Files

Is there a way to rename a bunch of files? Specifically I have a bunch of photos download from a camera that I want to rename.

How do you want to rename them?
If you want to change their titles to something similar it's easy to do in a command prompt, and I'm sure there's plenty of freeware programs to do mass renaming in windows.
