Renamed computer on home LAN - now have 2 entries in Network Places

As the subject says, I renamed one of the computers on my home LAN and now that computer appears twice when I view the computers in the workgroup. I can only connect to the one with the present name, but can't seem to get rid of the old entry. How do I remove this from the list of computers in the workgroup?

Thanks!
Mike

After a short while it will disappear, maybe a day or two.

Lets go PSU. Pray for Mills to be good this year . . .

after a day or two? weird... what controls that?

as for PSU...can't wait for this season. Mills has so much potential...hopefully we'll have a ground game this year despite the loss of LJ. I'll be out for homecoming this year...want OSU tix as well...

Go State!

most likely its just cached somewhere and that entry will expire and when it goes lookign for it, it wont find it and will not renew it.

Shut down all machines on the network (this forces Browser Master to be redeclared and recreated on startup of first machine). Power up the machine that you changed the name of first. Then power the rest up. This *should* change it. If it doesn't, then just wait. It'll eventually dissappear.
