I am running windows ME, and had added different users. After there was no point to having them anymore i deleted all of them but when my computer starts up the log in screen still comes up. How can i get rid of this?

might want to try this.
1-Right click on an empty spot on the task bar
2- Choose properties
3-Choose advanced
4-scroll down and de-select log off
Should do it for you.
It should take the log off box completely off the start menue.
Good luck

seabee, I don't think you got his question. He didn't wanted to remove the log off option button from freakin "Start" menu. Instead he wanted to get rid of the Login screen where you would have to type your user/pass.

Here is what you should do.
Aproach Network Properties either by going into your Control Panen ==> Network or by right clicking on the freakin "Network Neighbourhood" icon your desktop. Once done that. There should be a drop down menu which talks about logon method. It has choice of "Windows Family Logon" and other one which I don't remember ( I don't use winblows ). Choose Windows Family Logon from the drop down menu. Hit "Ok" restart and you are good to go. It might ask for the user pass after restart but after that, you won't see that stupid non secure winblows logon screen nomore.

Those are my 2 cents. Hope they help ya.

Gandu, comments were correct, except...

When it reboots, it will pop up a "log-on" box, enter any name you want but leave the password box empty... click OK and it will not pop up again.
