Removing win98 from win2k system

I have win98 and win2k both installed on the same partition. i never use 98, and i want to get rid of it if it is possible to do so safely. It is wasting space on my hard drive. Can i just delete the windows dir w/out worrying? Is there some way to uninstall 98 completely?
 
How do you have the dual boot set up? On two different partitions or on the same partition? If on a dual partition, I would kill the 98 partition but prior to that, back up stuff that you might have. on a single partition yeah i would just kill the windows directory.
