I've got a few 6950 and 6970 I'm dusting off and putting to use. They run ok cooler is better and I don't like a lot of fan noise. Was wondering if cleaning them off and putting some new thermal paste would void my warranty. This is in regards to my sapphire 6950 OC gb edition.

Also I tried undervolting them with trixx 4.6 an the volt changes work when it's basically idle but when it's in use the volt changes don't stay.

Thanks

Not sure if officially it does but I've never had a warranty claim denied because of it...

Usually if it does there will be a small sticker on one of the screws that mounts the cooler on the back of the card. If that sticker is removed or damaged then it will void your warranty. If your cards do not have that sticker then go to town. Like the poster said above, I have changed the TIM on overheating cards in the past and when it didn't fix the overheating issue, they (MSI & HIS) never denied me a warranty exchange because I changed the TIM.
