removing thermal paste

I have a video card core with some dried thermal paste on it. Any way to remove it?

Isopropyl alcohol works great. It's a very mild solvent, so you won't
damage anything on the boad if you're careful. You should be able to buy it at any drug store (try to get 99%, not 70%).
