Removing Task Scheduler from the task bar?

start ---> run ---> msconfig

go to the startup tab and deselect TaskMonitor i belive.... hope that helps..

you can just right click it and go to options and select "stop using task scheduler"

I'm tried both of those things before. neither work. if i click stop using it, once i reboot it's back up there again.

Delete it from your registry

Go to regedit -> HKLM -> Software -> Microsoft -> Windows -> CurrentVersion -> Run -> Delete mtask.exe

Then same key but RunServices -> Delete task manager??? or something like that. I deleted it already, but it's pretty easy to recognize.

Make sure you back up your registry before trying this though.

That's doing the same thing that agg123456789 suggested. I've tried that already.

Try looking in the Current User key then. There's an entry that's allowing it to be there when you boot up. I don't usually use MSConfig when stopping stuff from starting at boot, I head straight to the registry
