removing scratches from lcds

So I go to take the plastic cover off my Canon A40 today since it was just hanging there and now I feel like I made a mistake. I have small surface scratches on it now. Am I just going to have to live with it or is there something to remove it?
 
personally, as far as LCD's go, unless its really bad, i'd just leave it. you dont want to risk the entire thing for a minor scratch.
