Removing rear brake drum assembly?

My dad is changing out the brakes on my sister's 99 Civic - however, he can't seem to get the rear drum assembly off in order to reach the brakes - any tips? Its stuck on both rear sides. Oh and the e-brake is off.

Uhm, do you guys have a Helms manual around? It shows everything/entire break down of parts for that car.

If not, try honda-tech.com for more info.

Take a rubber hammer/mallet to it. I nearly melted the drums to the assembly on my 90' Ranger and I was still able to get them off 🙂
