Removing power connector for radeon 9700

Well I just got a used Radeon 9700 pro AIW from a fellow anandtecher, and I plugged the floppy power connector in and everything seemed to work ok. Just that there were horizontal lines when i went to 1280x1024 res. (any suggestions on this). So i decided I wanted to remove the card to clean it off a bit, but after taking the card out of the slot I realized that I couldn't take the power connector off. Does anyone know how to remove it?
