Isopropyl Alcohol. The same way you remove TIM from CPU's. The higher the alcohol content the better.

ok i got my zalman zf-700cu on and its only 2 degress lower at idle then the stoc HS? shouldnt it be less then that? or does it have to run for a while before it cools it down

Mine's much lower. 46 - 48C idle vs. 58 - 63C idle, 70C vs. 83 - 85C load.

If you follow the directions on Arctic Silver's site you can't go wrong.

I used their cleaning products, which work extremely well, as well as their Ceramique on my Graphics chip and on both my Opterons.
