Removing metal decal from vehicle

Need some advice on removing a metal decal from my vehicle. Its one of those dealership decals on the tailgate of my truck...its been there forever and 2 dark nights.

And NO......

I will not blow it up
burn it off
pour battery acid on it
throw the tailgate in the trash
buy a new truck
free ipods!
or any other form of mutilation, self destruction, fappery or flatulence related nonsense.

lol.. i hate those too. That's why I refuse to buy from any dealership that does that.

Hot Air Gun and gooo be gone to take off the residue.
And no a blow dryer just wont get hot enough and if you have never used hot gun do be careful for it gets hot enough that jsut a split second under the heat will burn the piss out of you.

heat it up with a blow drier first... then squirt some goo gone on the top of the emblem to let is ooze in... then get the fishing line and use small sawing motions... once removed use goo gone and a q-tip to remove exess glue/gunk... get meguirs scratch x and buff the area with that... finish it off with a few layers of wax then...

it will look like a emblem has never been their
