I turned off fast user switching login because it slowed down the boot process.

Now I have the classic login (with no password), but I want to remove that, or make it autmatically login, so I don't need to press ok on every boot up.

n0cmonkey, can you tell me, what is the use or advantage or whatever of the .NET Framework for the average user? I've done some research in the past on it and see references to software developers.

I have no idea what it really is. :p

I got tired of seeing the OP's question, so I copied down the answer one day so I can post it quickly and nicely. ;)

Yeah, I was just wondering why Microsoft puts it on Windows Update. Everything I've seen relating to it (and I've done very little research I must add) leads me to believe that the vast majority of Windows users have no need for it.

Thought you might know.
