Removing Laptop HDD

So aside from various screwdriver deficiencies, I've fond the screws to pull out the HDD tray and loosened them, but the cover won't budge. It's like the screws are still holding it in, but they're completely loose.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Like the topic summary says, it's a Compaq Presario 2100 series laptop. [2180CA]

IIRC, the screws need to come all the way out. As in, they should fall out into your hand, and there should be no screw touching the computer.

oh good god ... I flipped it around and the screws came out, but there's still something holding it in :x

hahaha I'm not all that bright, it was the HD itself. thanks for the help man
