Hi Guys
I am trying to remove the stock heatsink on my gainward 5900 ultra and replace it with the thermaltake extreme giant III but just cant get the damn thing off.

I manage to remove the hs on the ram, and get the clips out fine, but hs on the gpu is stuck down so hard that I am scared of breaking it if i force it 2 much. Is there a trick to doing this? anybody else manage to get it off??

yes there is a secret magic trick. I found this on google when I was trying to figure how to get the SK6 I had epoxied on my geforce3 off.
You take a card and a flathead screwdriver. You use the card as a padding so you don't damage the PCB, and you stick the screw driver under the heatsink. Now the trick is not to pry it, but twist the screwdriver, and the heatsink should pop right off with little force.
