Removing hot melt glue from nylon

ok so a while ago I used to put patches on my Jansport backpack using hot glue. I took them off, and now my backpack looks fugly, with translucent white spots and rings on the face of my backpack. Any tips on how to remove hot glue from backpacks? I don't know what material it is made out of, although it looks like sewn nylon??

thanks for any help.

thanks for the suggestion, but I've thought of it already... it'll seap through even deeper because the surface is textured i think.

i'm attached to this one particular bag. i've been using it since sophomore year in high school! It's small and i like that... i'm gonna get a messenger bag soon because of its convenience but i can't seem to dump my current bag
