I am trying to remove the heatsink from my geforce 2 mx card in order to replace it with a blue orb fan. I think the heatsink is superglued on and is very hard to remove. Just wondering if any one out there has done it and how? Any help is GREATLY appreciated! thanx

freezer?... hmm. here's how ive removed mine on Radeon. take it out of your pc. use hair drier on it for couple seconds (WARNING IT GETS REALLY HOT REALLY FAST!) JUST COUPLE SECONDS! then get a flat head screw driver and twist it little bit, it'll pop right off. you should not apply too much force to get it off. if its hot enough it'll come off very easily.

It's weird, I took mine heatsink off a G400 and TNT2 Ultra thinking that it was hard and stuff..

Running hot for a few hours.. I was examing how to use a screw driver without damaging the surrounding parts.. so I put the screw driver on each side, just to look and it poped off.. both cards.. they don't put glue on all sides so one is always weak and it'll pop off right there... just be careful.. when I didn't want it off, it popped off...

good luck.. freezer way is the better way..
